Meet the Owner

Miss Sara began dancing at the age of 3 at the Manomet School of Dance. A few years into her training, she attended Children's Ballet Workshop, run by Nan Keating. Nan encouraged Sara to audition for the Boston Ballet School in Norwell and she was accepted into their intensive training program. She has performed in a number of Boston Ballet productions including The Nutcracker, Midsummer Night's Dream, Sleeping Beauty, Firebird, and Pacquita. In addition to training in ballet, Sara also competed regionally and nationally with the Patti Eisenhouer Dance Center.

While dance has been Miss Sara's passion for 30+ years, she also holds 2 masters degrees - one in mental health counseling and the other in criminal justice studies. Before opening South Shore Dance Academy, she worked as a mental health clinician in Boston and on the south shore.
